IMT Hyderabad provides a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program that is intended to equip students with the necessary skills to assume leadership positions in a variety of business sectors. Among others, the course provides specialisations in Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Analytics. It emphasises practical learning through case studies, live projects, apprenticeships, and industry interactions, with a curriculum that is in accordance with industry standards. IMT Hyderabad Admission Process

1. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.
Entrance Exam: The institute accepts scores from CAT, XAT, GMAT, or CMAT. A valid score in any of these exams is a mandatory requirement for admission.
Work Experience: Although not mandatory, work experience may be given additional weightage during the selection process, especially for the PGDM Executive program.

2. Application Process:

Online Application: Prospective students must fill out the online application form available on the IMT Hyderabad official website. Candidates are required to provide personal information, academic details, work experience (if any), and details of their entrance exam scores.
Application Fee: There is a non-refundable application fee that must be paid online during the submission of the application form.

3. Shortlisting of Candidates:

Based on the entrance exam scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT), the institute shortlists candidates for further rounds. The cut-off scores may vary each year depending on the number of applicants and their performance.

4. Selection Process:

Written Ability Test (WAT): Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Written Ability Test to assess their writing skills and critical thinking abilities.
Group Discussion (GD): A group discussion round may be conducted to evaluate the candidate's communication skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities.
Personal Interview (PI): In this round, candidates are assessed based on their academic achievements, work experience, communication skills, and overall personality.

5. Final Selection:

The final selection is based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's performance in the entrance exam, WAT, GD, and PI, as well as their academic record and work experience. Weightage is given to each component to create a composite score for selection.

6. Admission Offer:

Once selected, candidates receive an official admission offer letter. They must confirm their acceptance by paying the admission fee and completing other formalities.
