MICA Admission Process

Admissions to the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) are contingent upon a rigorous and competitive assessment procedure. The admissions process is summarised below:

  1. Candidates are required to submit their applications online through the official MICA website. The application form must include personal information, academic data, job experience (if applicable), and other essential information.
  2. Candidates are required to complete either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), or the Common Admission Test (CAT). These scores are the primary criterion for the purpose of identifying registrants for subsequent selection phases.
  3. The MICA Admission Test (MICAT) is administered to candidates who have been shortlisted. This test evaluates their analytical and verbal abilities, written communication skills, divergent thinking, and general understanding of marketing and media.
  4. Group exercises and personal interviews are implemented to assess candidates who have successfully completed the MICAT. Candidates' communication skills, problem-solving abilities, leadership potential, and eligibility for MICA's programme are evaluated during these rounds.
  5. The candidate's ultimate selection is contingent upon their performance in the MICAT, GE, and Pl entrance exams. Academic records, professional experience, extracurricular accomplishments, and diversity criteria are all taken into account.
  6. Admission proposals are issued by MICA to successful candidates in accordance with the ultimate selection procedure. The proposals specify the programme, any limitations, and a deadline for accepting the offer and submitting the necessary documents and money.
