GMAT Registration

You can register via the official GMAT website. We have outlined the step-by-step process for registering online for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) below. All GMAT exam attempts, across any edition of the exam, will count towards your limit of 05 attempts within a rolling 12-month period and a total of 08 attempts over your lifetime. It’s recommended to register well in advance as slots may fill up quickly.

 

Steps for Registration

  1. Visit the official GMAT website.
  2. Create a GMAT account.
  3. Select your preferred test date and location (If Applicable).
  4. Pay the registration fee.
  5. Receive confirmation via email.

 

Application Fee

If you choose to take the test at a test center in India, the fee is USD 275 (INR 23,001).
Taking the test in an online format will cost you more, with a fee of USD 300 (INR 25,092). In case you need to reschedule, there are additional charges:

  • Rescheduling Fee: $50 - $60 (Before 60 Days)
  • Cancellation Fee: $110 - $120 (Before 60 Days)

 

GMAT Syllabus

The GMAT exam lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, including an optional 10-minute break, and features a total of 64 questions.

1. Quantitative Reasoning:

Measures problem-solving and analytical skills using numerical data.

Covers arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.

Questions: 21
Duration: 45 Minutes

 

2. Verbal Reasoning:

Tests reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and grammar.

Questions: 23
Duration: 45 Minutes.


3. Data Insights:

Data Sufficiency, Multi-source Reasoning, Table Analysis, Graphics Interpretation, Two-part Analysis

Questions: 20
Duration: 45 Minutes

Each section contributes to your overall score, which ranges from 200 to 800.


GMAT Eligibility

There are no strict eligibility criteria set by GMAC for taking the GMAT exam, but some general guidelines include:

  • Age: Candidates must be at least 18 years old. If between 13 and 17, parental consent is required.
  • Education: While GMAC does not set educational prerequisites, individual business schools may have their own academic requirements.
