    (a) Hold a three-year bachelor's degree or an equivalent educational qualification from a recognized institution.
    (b) Candidates in the unreserved category must have a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their bachelor’s degree, while ST, SC, and Karnataka applicants are required to have at least 45% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA.

 

Application Fee

The application fee for Karnataka PGCET varies by category:

  • General and OBC Candidates: Rs. 650
  • SC/ST/Cat-1 Candidates: Rs. 500

The fee can be paid online via net banking, debit card, or credit card. Ensure that the payment is made within the stipulated time to avoid cancellation of the application.

    (a)
    Computer Basics: Organization of a Computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Input/Output Devices, Computer Memory, Programming Languages, Types of Operating Systems, General awareness about Internet. Web Applications, Database Applications and Information Systems.
    (b) Data Representation: Representation of Characters, Integers and Fractions, Binary, ASCII and Hexadecimal Representations.
    (c) Binary Arithmetic: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Two’s complement arithmetic, Floating-point representation of numbers, normalized Floating-point representation.
    (d) Operating Systems: Evolution of operating systems, Types of operating systems, Functions of an operating system, Modern operating systems.
     
  • Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning: (20 Questions)
    Logical Reasoning, Puzzles, Diagrams, Analogy, Verbal Ability, Analytical Ability and related aspects.
  • Quantitative Analysis: (20 Questions)
    Arithmetic, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Statistical Analysis and related quantitative aspects.
  • English Language: (20 Questions)
    Basic English Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Correction, One Word Substitution, Idioms and Phrases, Pairs expressing relationships, Famous books in English Literature.
  • General Knowledge: (20 Questions)
    Indian Business Environment, Global Environment, Social Events Cultural, Events, Economics, Management, Political Events, Historical Events, Current Affairs, Sports, Awards, Personalities and Achievements, Science and Technology, Humanities. Counselling Process

After the results of Karnataka PGCET are declared, the counselling process begins:
