Regular MBA

The Post Graduate Program (PGP) at IIM Indore is a two-year full-time flagship program designed to equip students with strong management and leadership skills. It is highly sought after by students aspiring to enter the field of business management.
IIM Indore places a strong emphasis on experiential learning through live projects, internships, and case studies, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business situations.
Usually the academic year starts from June/July and ends in March/April.

International Exchange Programme:
IIM Indore has built strong partnerships with various universities and business schools across the globe and it offers international exchange programs to provide students with a global perspective on management practices.

Summer Placement
More than 140 recruiters visit the campus for summer placement. In between the first and second year of PGP, the students spend eight weeks on a summer project.

Indian Institute of Management Indore Admission Process

1. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Candidates who are in their final year of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, as well as those who have completed their degree requirements and are awaiting results, are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: There is no age limit for the PGP program.
Work Experience: Work experience is not mandatory for the PGP program, but it can be beneficial.

2. Entrance Exam

CAT (Common Admission Test): Candidates must appear for the CAT, which is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management.

3. Application Process

CAT Registration: Candidates need to register for the CAT exam through the official CAT website.
Application to IIM Indore: While registering for the CAT, candidates should select IIM Indore as one of their preferences. After the CAT results are declared, candidates need to apply separately to IIM Indore.

Above cut-offs represent the minimum percentile needed for candidates to qualify for the subsequent stages of the admission process, such as the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

4. Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

Shortlisting Criteria: IIM Indore uses a combination of CAT score, past academic performance, and other criteria to shortlist candidates for the next round.
CAT Score: A high percentile in CAT is crucial. The cutoff percentile varies each year based on the number of applicants and the difficulty level of the exam.
Academic Record: Marks in Class X, XII, and graduation are considered.
Diversity Factors: Gender and academic diversity may also be considered to ensure a balanced cohort.

5. Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)

WAT: Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a Written Ability Test. This test assesses the candidate’s ability to think critically and communicate effectively in writing.
PI: Candidates who clear the WAT are then called for a Personal Interview. The interview panel usually comprises faculty members and alumni. The PI assesses the candidate’s suitability for the program based on their academic background, work experience (if any), communication skills, and overall personality.

6. Final Selection

Composite Score: The final selection is based on a composite score calculated using various parameters. These include the CAT score, WAT & PI performance, academic performance, work experience, and other diversity factors.
Weightage Distribution: The weightage given to each parameter may vary each year. Typically, the CAT score holds the highest weightage, followed by WAT & PI, academic performance, and work experience.

7. Offer of Admission

Admission Offer: Based on the composite score, candidates are offered admission. Selected candidates receive an offer letter from IIM Indore.
Acceptance and Registration: Candidates need to accept the offer and complete the necessary registration formalities to confirm their admission.

IIM Indore consists of various in-hostel facilities like common rooms, mess and canteens etc. for students to rely upon for their basic needs.

For students opting for Hostels at IIM Indore, single-seated / twin-sharing - both types of accommodation facilities are available. The rooms are available with separate blocks / floors for men and women. The hostel blocks are spread around the canteen and interconnected, mostly in blocks of three.
