The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) was set up by the Indian government in 2010 in Raipur, which is the city of Chhattisgarh. It is part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, which is now called the Ministry of Education. Chhattisgarh is one of India's fastest-growing states, and IIM Raipur has grown in a place with a lot of minerals, forests, natural resources, and local resources.
IIM Raipur is a lively place to learn. They use a variety of teaching methods, such as talks, case studies, business games, modelling exercises, role plays, group discussions, field trips, and projects based on real businesses. Guest talks from well-known businesspeople at the school help students learn more. The Common Admission Test (CAT), which is held every November, is the main way that people get into IIM Raipur's college programmes. Notably, the school is trying to increase the number of students of different genders by giving extra points to female candidates who aren't engineers.
The school is ranked #11 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for Management as of 2023, which shows that it provides a good education. The focus is on all-around growth, teaching students how to be moral leaders who care about business, industry, and trade while also being socially aware.
The IIM Raipur campus in Atal Nagar is spread out over 200 acres and has modern facilities such as state-of-the-art classrooms, dormitories for boys and girls, a library, gym, cafeteria, health centre, sports complex, labs, theatre, meeting rooms, and banking facilities. The centre also gives grants to kids from low-income families who have done well in school. This makes sure that money doesn't get in the way of their success.
At the graduate and doctoral levels, IIM Raipur has a number of management programmes. CAT results are needed to get into the Post Graduate Programme in Management, while scores from the CAT, GMAT, or GRE are needed to get into the Executive Fellow Programme. To get into a Ph.D. programme, you need to have a good number from the UGC-NET, GRE, or GMAT. The entry process for these programmes is done on the main website of IIM Raipur.
