The Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) is one of the best business schools in India. It is in the middle of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. LIBA has been around since 1979 and is part of the famous Loyola College Society. Loyola Institute of Business Administration Admission Process

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 60% aggregate marks is required.

 

2. Entrance Exams:

Candidates must have a valid score in any of the following entrance exams:

  • CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
  • XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur.

 

Application Process

1. Registration:

  • Candidates must register for CAT or XAT on the official websites of the respective exams.

 

2. Application Form:

  • After obtaining a valid score in CAT or XAT, candidates need to apply to LIBA by filling out the online application form available on the LIBA website.
  • The application form requires personal details, academic qualifications, entrance exam scores, and work experience (if any).

 

 

3. Application Fee:

  • An application fee needs to be paid online while submitting the application form. The fee amount is usually specified on the LIBA website.

 

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting:

  • Candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT/XAT scores, academic performance, and work experience.
  • The cutoff scores for shortlisting vary each year depending on the overall performance of the candidates.

 

2. Group Discussion (GD):

  • Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in a Group Discussion. The GD assesses the candidate’s ability to communicate, their leadership qualities, and their ability to work in a team.

 

3. Personal Interview (PI):

  • Candidates who perform well in the GD are called for a Personal Interview. The interview panel evaluates the candidate's personality, communication skills, academic background, work experience, and suitability for the management program.

 

4. Final Selection:

  • The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the GD and PI, entrance exam scores, academic record, and work experience.
