In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India, Jiwaji University was founded on May 23, 1964. Known for its School of Studies in Neuroscience, which is India's only university-level neuroscience programme funded by the Department of Biotechnology, the university has a distinguished name. Together with prestigious organisations like CSIR, ICMR, DBT, DST, DRDO, and UGC labs and R&D centres, this project offers 10 seats per year and a monthly studentship of Rs. 5,000 to students who deserve it. Additionally, the university started offering an MBA programme in 1987 and has created many schools of study over the years, covering a wide range of subjects from Earth Science to Library and Information Science.
Because it covers eight districts—Ashoknagar, Bhind, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Morena, Shivpuri, and Sheopur—Jiwaji University has a big impact on the area. Centres for teaching and study at the university include the Tansen Institute of Performing Arts and the Virah Mihir Centre for Mathematics. Many health facilities are also available, as well as the well-equipped Mahadji Scindia Sports Complex and a Computer Centre that gives advanced classes and helps with research. Moreover, the University Science and Instrumentation Centre (USIC) is an important part of helping both students and study at the universitys.
For its academic programmes and famous graduates, such as molecular scientist Umesh Varshney and virologist Manmohan Parida, Jiwaji University has become well-known. Visit Jiwaji University's main website or the full Wikipedia page for more details.
