The Tezpur University was created by an Act of Parliament in 1994. It is a public university in Tezpur, Assam, that teaches and houses students. People know this school for its dedication to teaching, learning, and study, with the goal of expanding knowledge and building up people who can help the state, area, and country grow. The grounds of the university is 262 acres, and it has more than 3,700 students, 260 teaching members, and 270 technical and management workers. You can get into the school by taking entrance tests like JEE, MAT, CAT, GATE, CEEB, and TUEE. The President's Best University award was given to Tezpur University in 2016, and the university was also given a Grade A approval by NAAC under UGC, India in the same year. In 2016, MHRD through NIRF ranked Tezpur University as the fifth best university in India.
There are four academic divisions at the university: the School of Sciences, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Management Sciences, and the School of Engineering. Together, they make up 27 departments and a number of centres and cells. These schools have many different student, graduate, and study programmes in many different fields.
When it comes to building, the Tezpur University site has a swimming pool, tennis courts, an indoor stadium, rooms for many engineering and science subjects, a restaurant, a gym, medical facilities, Wi-Fi, and more. The Tezpur University placement cell sets up things like group talks, practice interviews, ability tests, and more to help students get in touch with many companies. Recently, the biggest package that was given was INR 12 LPA, and the average package was INR 6 LPA.
Tezpur University has also worked with other universities in the country and around the world to improve the courses it offers. The university offers a number of grants to students who need financial help. These scholarships are based on academic achievement, financial need, community service, study purpose, and disability.
