The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), which used to be called Manipal University, is a Deemed to be University and a recognised Institution of Eminence. It was founded in 1953. According to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), it has an A++ grade and is in the Indian city of Manipal in the state of Karnataka.
